Metro Air Support officers continue to patrol areas affected by the tornado. Officers in the helicopter spotted a car speeding through a tornado affected neighborhood on Thursday that ultimately struck another car at Pendleton & Cook.
The driver immediately fled & Air Support followed the car while giving updates to officers on the ground. Officers stopped the car on St. Ferdinand near Cora & took the 20-year-old driver into custody for Leaving the Scene of an Accident and additional traffic violations. We cannot stress enough the importance of following all traffic safety laws. We will not tolerate anyone violating the law. #SLMPD #STL
